How To Prepare For Your Pet's Stay:

Nina & WendellAs pet owners ourselves, we know how difficult it can be to leave your pet in someone else's care.  At Dog Star Canine, we do everything possible to ensure that your dog is comfortable, happy, and feels at home.

If your dog has never boarded with us before, we recommend that you schedule him for a daycare session (first session is free) beforehand.  During quiet time, your dog will relax and rest in a boarding room, which will familiarize him with facility and staff, minimizing stress when he comes to board:  Dog Star Canine will already feel like home away from home!

You can reduce your dog's stress level when you leave him off by making goodbyes matter-of-fact and brief. A quick hug and a kiss and "Have a good time!" said in a happy voice will make the transition much easier for your dog.

For the safety of all our guests we require that all pets entering Dog Star Canine have up-to-date proof of  the following vaccinations:

  • Rabies, and DHLPP

  • We will accept blood titers showing acceptable levels of antibodies.

Please feel free to bring your dog's favorite toy or blanket: having something familiar that smells of home can be a great comfort!
